Each year, homeless advocates across the nation seek to count homeless persons within their coverage areas. The Point in Time (PIT) Count greatly affects funding, both private and public, for homeless services and affects the methodology of those services. Metrocrest Services is the PIT Coordinator for our area. A thorough count is crucial in identifying and understanding both the progress we’ve made and the gaps within our services. This year’s PIT Count will help our community continue to understand the extent of homelessness in our area. It also shows our community that in our community, everybody counts. PIT Count Survey Volunteers will attempt to count individuals in our community who are unsheltered. Because the Metrocrest Service area covers several cities, your help is greatly needed as we work to survey as many people as possible this coming January. We need at least 60 volunteers for the 2025 count—sign up today! NOTE:
