Hope Lives Here: A Holiday Story to Remember

An eight-year-old boy walked into our Holiday Store this season with one goal: finding the perfect gifts for his little sister. He passed by action figures and basketballs without a second thought because his heart was set on making her smile.

After carefully choosing her gifts, he was ready to leave when a volunteer encouraged him to try out a bike. It fit perfectly. After some encouragement from his mom, he left the store with gifts for his sister and a bike of his own—a reminder that when we give, we often receive something in return.

This boy’s generosity captures the true spirit of the season. Your support made moments like this possible, not just toys under the tree but hope for families who might otherwise go without. Hope for seniors who opened their doors to holiday greetings and a basket of their favorite goodies, reminding them they matter. Hope for parents who get to see the joy on their children’s faces when they see gifts under their tree.

Thanks to you, we provided 2,585 children with gifts and coats and 120 seniors with holiday baskets. Because of you, hope truly lives here.
