On a sunny Saturday, September 30, 2023, Metrocrest Services welcomed over 700 neighbors to celebrate its new home. The 2023 Community Picnic & Resource Fair was a testament to the unity and spirit of the community. The day was filled with laughter and smiles as friends and neighbors gathered together for a morning of fun, food, and education.

The event featured a petting zoo that delighted the little ones, face painting that turned everyone into a work of art, and a bounce house that had kids and adults bouncing with joy. The Dewitt Perry Middle School band and orchestra and the Creekview High School drum line provided remarkable live entertainment that had everyone tapping their feet.

For those looking to stay active, Jazzercise of Carrollton led invigorating exercise sessions that got participants moving and grooving. Additionally, gardeners shared their expertise in the teaching garden, offering valuable tips and insights for cultivating a green thumb.

The Carrollton Farmers Branch Rotary grilled up delicious hot dogs while Kona Ice, provided by Reliant Energy, kept everyone cool and satisfied on a warm Texas day.

It showcased the power of collaboration between local businesses, educational institutions, and Metrocrest Services to create a memorable event that truly celebrated our shared community spirit,” shared Metrocrest Services CEO Tracy Eubanks.

One of the key highlights of the event was the Community Resource Fair. This fair featured numerous local community resources that aimed to empower and uplift the community. Representatives from various organizations were present to share information, answer questions, and provide valuable resources. This made the event not only entertaining but also informative, ensuring that attendees left with more knowledge and support than they came with.
