This fall, Metrocrest Services celebrated more than just graduation ceremonies. We celebrated neighbors taking steps toward brighter futures, gaining new skills, earning industry-recognized certifications, and building the confidence needed to pursue meaningful employment opportunities.
Thanks to our education partners, dozens of participants completed workforce development programs designed to equip them with the tools needed to achieve long-term economic stability. From careers in healthcare and finance to technology and logistics, each graduate leaves with more than a certificate. They leave with renewed confidence and a clear path forward.

Gaining Digital Skills for Today’s Workforce
Technology skills are increasingly essential in nearly every industry. Through the Basic Computer Skills Class offered in partnership with Ascend Dallas, participants developed foundational digital literacy skills that many employers expect today.
Graduates shared how the class transformed their relationship with technology:
“I now feel more prepared to search for jobs because I can read and manage my emails. Before taking this class, I was afraid to even open my email app.”
“I was always scared to use a computer, but through this class, I gained confidence in searching for information on the internet. It’s a new world that I can now explore without fear.”

Building Pathways to Careers in Healthcare
In partnership with the Irving ISD Adult Education & Literacy Department, Metrocrest Services recently celebrated graduates in our fall Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate cohort. The class introduced participants to healthcare administration and provided hands-on learning opportunities in areas such as patient care and phlebotomy.
For many graduates, the experience pushed them outside their comfort zones and helped them discover strengths they didn’t know they had.
“I started to learn to be dependable again. I showed up on time, did the homework, and got my certificate.”
“It was my first time going into the medical field, and it was a great environment, great teacher, great classmates, and great support.”

Opening Doors to Careers in Banking and Finance
In collaboration with Ascend Dallas and the Irving ISD Adult Education & Literacy Department, Metrocrest Services also celebrated graduates of the Careers in Banking and Finance class.
Participants received industry-specific training, professional development support, and career coaching designed to prepare them for opportunities in the financial sector.
One graduate shared how the program completely changed their perception of what was possible:
“I thought I could not work in a bank because I did not have a degree or training in finance, but I know I can now. The confidence is built in me. I am actively using all the skills and the tools I have been given. I am 65 years old and I was given all the encouragement. I believe everyone can do this program and change their lives.”

Creating Opportunities in Logistics and Warehouse Careers
Metrocrest Services also partnered with Dallas College to host a two-week intensive training program focused on forklift operation and OSHA certification.
Upon completion, graduates earned credentials that employers across the warehouse, distribution, and logistics industries value. To help participants take the next step toward employment, Metrocrest coordinated a hiring event connecting graduates directly with local employers seeking qualified candidates.
This combination of skills training, credential attainment, and employer engagement helps ensure participants are positioned for both immediate opportunities and long-term career growth.
Every certificate earned represents hours of dedication, perseverance, and hard work. Every graduate represents a story of growth, determination, and hope.
As we celebrate this fall’s graduates, we are reminded that when a community invests in its people, lives are transformed. We congratulate each graduate on this remarkable achievement and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to make in their workplaces, families, and communities.
