Christmas day is supposed to be a joyous occasion full of friends and family. But for Angelica, December 25, 2022, became one of the worst days of her life. As Angelica celebrated the holiday with her three children, the unimaginable happened. Her home went up in flames. What started as a small fire quickly overtook her home, and while thankfully the family got out safely, the only thing left standing was a children’s bicycle Angelica had given her son for Christmas.

The bicycle, along with the other presents her children received, had come from the Metrocrest Services’ Holiday Store. When our Intake and Referral team heard about the incident, they quickly jumped into action, gathering holiday gifts and emergency resources to restore HOPE for Angelica and her children.
