On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the 17th annual Keyholder Breakfast, Metrocrest Services will honor Aaron Augustine, Allstate Insurance Agent, and The Branch Church with the Lou Sartor Heart for the Community Award. This distinguished award carries the name of Lou Sartor, a dedicated philanthropist and community member. Award recipients have a “Heart” for the community, demonstrated by their consistent efforts to make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Aaron Augustine, Allstate Insurance Agent

Aaron Augustine opened his Allstate agency in Addison, Texas, in 2000. Since then, he has enjoyed developing a team that is continually improving, active in the community, and represents a company that’s served satisfied customers for over 80 years. Aaron Augustine and his team of insurance professionals take pride in contributing to the community participating in many local charities and fundraisers.

Since 2016, Aaron’s team has provided more than 150 services hours to Metrocrest Services, volunteering in the pantry, warehouse, and holiday store. In addition, he contributes time by serving on Metrocrest Services’ board, providing enthusiastic ideas on how to increase their reach. In 2019, Aaron and his wife, Jennifer, co-chaired the Keyholder Breakfast and Aaron was the presenting sponsor of the 2021 Golden Gala; in which he helped spur giving for the Building Our Future capital campaign─ a campaign to raise $15.8 Million to build a facility that will become the hub of Metrocrest Services operations.

“The entire team at Augustine Insurance has been very engaged with us for many years,” said Metrocrest Services CEO Tracy Eubanks. “Their dedication to corporate philanthropy helps ensure we can continue our efforts to create a thriving community for all.”

The Branch Church

The Branch Church has been serving the Metrocrest community since 1905. They have two campuses in the D/FW area, one in Carrollton and one in Farmers Branch. They are a church full of imperfect people who are helping each other become, grow, and live as disciples of Jesus. No matter your background – current situation – where you’ve been – or what you’ve done — The Branch Church wants you to know, “you belong here.”

The Branch has been a long-time supporter of Metrocrest Services. The food pantry that now serves 700+ families each week was first set up by The Branch in 1986. As the 50th Anniversary Presenting Sponsor, The Branch helped Metrocrest Services celebrate 50 years of services to the community by participating in multiple events, including a community picnic and virtual volunteer appreciation event. During the first four months of the COVID-19 pandemic, church members coordinated and worked shifts in our warehouse five days a week, ensuring thousands in our community were fed. The Branch continues to be a strong presence in volunteering through groups and individual members, supporting Metrocrest Services’ food pantry, Sack Summer Hunger, holiday programs, and more.

“The Branch has been an integral part of Metrocrest Services history,” said COO Nicole Binkley. “As the host of our first food pantry and founding members of the Sack Summer Hunger program, their commitment to the community continues to create opportunities and lift lives.”
